We struggle for houses and cash to buy fancy cars;
and pray for our children not to end up behind bars.
They fight for social advancement and power
and want to be the first man to walk on mars.
We struggle to provide our children with food, clothes and shoes;
and hope our love with keep them out of the news.
They fight (lobby if you will) for tax breaks and segregation
a plague which now threatens to continue dividing this nation.
We struggle, they fight, whose wrong, whose right!
We struggle, they fight, whose wrong, whose right!
We struggle for unity, equality, love and peace,
a division between us that continues to increase.
They fight for an opportunity a chance to completely control,
our free will; the harvesting of our souls.
We struggle, yet we’ve fail to see,
that our struggle is not with them but within our own community.
They fight to relinquish all of our rights,
it’s a wonder how they manage to sleep at night.
We struggle, they fight, whose wrong, whose right!
